ABOUT KEDARNATH:

• Kedarnath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
• Located on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river, Kedarnath is located in the state of Uttarakhand.
• Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open to the general public only between the months of April (Akshaya Tritriya) and November (Kartik Purnima).
• It is one among the Chota Char Dham sites.

ABOUT CHOTA CHAR DHAM

• It is an important Hindu pilgrimage circuit in the Himalayas.
• Located in the Garhwal region of the state of Uttarakhand the circuit consists of four sites—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
